Speeches happen at annual dinner to show the comittees appreciation for all the member of the club and all the work everyone has put in for making (a hopefully) amazing year once again.

They may also be requested from prize winners at the request of the crowds and normally cause much banter.

Other occasions for speaches are at the AGM where comittee hopefuls are asked to say why they want to get one of the great positions of the comittee.

Normally speeches are lighthearted, so don't worry if you are asked to make one, no one minds too much, and you might well be drunken by this time any way!
